Hello! We are excited to announce that the SSO Spouses and Family Association is now Heart Behind the Badge – Sac County! Our mission and goals have not changed. We will continue to support our SSO Spouses and Families. We will be announcing our membership drive soon! Stay tuned as we ramp up!
Heart Behind the Badge - Sac County
Supporting the needs of our SSO Spouses and Families
The Sacramento Sheriff's Office Spouses' and Family Association was established in support of the Sacramento Sheriff's Office in 2018. The mission of the organization is to promote the well-being of all Sheriff's Office members and their families. We provide information, education, support, and practical assistance to help law enforcement families successfully survive and thrive during the Sheriff's Office employee's law enforcement career and beyond.
In 2024, the Board of Directors decided to change the name to Heart Behind the Badge-Sac County. We felt the name change better reflects who we are and who we represent.​
The Key Goals of the Association:

To provide a broad range of support to SSO LEO's, their Spouses, and their Family.

To honor and encourage our deputies.

To strengthen & support law enforcement families.

To serve our community.

​We are working in partnership and support with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office, the Sacramento County Deputy Sheriff's Association and the Law Enforcement Chaplaincy – Sacramento.
Our organization is based upon voluntary membership however, members must have an affiliation to an SSO Deputy; once confirmed membership will be approved.
